Alternate Nostril Breathing is a deep breathing technique to teach you how to breathe thru your nose. The more stressed and anxious we are, the more our breaths become shorter, breathing with our upper chest and inhaling thru our mouths. Taking deep breaths in thru your nose not only help reduce stress and anxiety, they also help to open up your airways and upper respiratory tract. This technique is great for reducing headaches, opening up your sinuses as well as improving cardiovascular health.
